Welcome to BarkBridge AI ("we," "our," or "us"). We respect your privacy and are committed to protecting your personal information. This Privacy Policy explains how BarkBridge AI collects, uses, processes, and protects information when you use the BarkBridge AI mobile application (the "App" or "Service").

By using the App, you acknowledge that you have read and understood this Privacy Policy.

1. Information We Collect

We collect information that you provide to us when you create an account, use the App, submit content for analysis, make purchases, or contact us.

Personal Data

When you create an account or sign in using a third-party authentication service, we may collect information such as:

Name
Email address
Profile picture, if provided by your authentication provider
Account and authentication information

BarkBridge AI supports authentication through services such as Google Sign-In and Sign in with Apple.

Video Data

When you upload or record a dog video using BarkBridge AI, we process the video file, including any audio contained within the video, to provide the AI-powered dog behavior analysis feature.

The submitted video may be processed to analyze observable elements such as sounds, movement, posture, body language, and visual context.

AI Analysis Data

BarkBridge AI uses OpenAI to process submitted dog video content and generate AI-based interpretations of observable behavior.

The AI-generated results may include information such as possible behavioral patterns, activity, energy level, social behavior, behavioral indicators, and enrichment-related observations.

AI-generated results are provided for informational purposes and may not accurately represent a dog's thoughts, emotions, intentions, or communication.

Usage Data

We may collect information about how you use the App, including:

Video analysis history
Credit usage
Number of analyses performed
Subscription status
In-app feature usage
Purchase and entitlement information

Device and Technical Data

We may collect certain technical information about the device used to access the App, such as:

Device model
Operating system and version
App version
Device identifiers where applicable
Crash and diagnostic information
Technical information necessary to maintain and improve the Service

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect for the following purposes:

To create and manage user accounts
To authenticate users
To provide dog video analysis services
To process uploaded or recorded dog videos through our AI analysis service
To generate AI-based behavioral interpretations
To maintain and display analysis history
To manage credits and usage
To process subscriptions and in-app purchases
To manage subscription entitlements
To provide customer support
To maintain, troubleshoot, and improve the App
To communicate important information regarding the Service, Terms, or Privacy Policy

3. Third-Party Services

BarkBridge AI uses third-party services to provide certain features and functionality.

Firebase

We use Firebase for services including user authentication, backend functionality, database services, and crash or diagnostic reporting where applicable.

Google Sign-In

Google Sign-In may be used to authenticate users and create or access their BarkBridge AI account.

Sign in with Apple

OpenAI

We use OpenAI to process submitted dog video content and generate AI-based interpretations of observable dog behavior.

The video submitted by a user may therefore be transmitted to OpenAI or processed through OpenAI services as necessary to provide the AI analysis feature.

RevenueCat

We use RevenueCat to manage subscription and in-app purchase information, including subscription status and purchase entitlements.

Apple App Store and Google Play

Purchases and subscriptions are processed through the applicable Apple App Store or Google Play Store. We do not directly collect or store users' payment card information through the BarkBridge AI App.

Third-party services may have their own privacy policies and terms governing how they process information.

4. Video Processing and AI Analysis

Videos submitted to BarkBridge AI are processed to provide the requested analysis.

A submitted video may contain both visual information and audio captured within the video. The App does not require users to upload a separate audio file.

AI analysis is generated from the content available in the submitted video. Because the analysis is generated by artificial intelligence, results may be incomplete, inaccurate, or different from the actual behavior or intent of a dog.

BarkBridge AI does not guarantee that AI-generated results accurately identify a dog's thoughts, emotions, intentions, or communication.

5. Data Retention and Deletion

We retain information for as long as reasonably necessary to provide the Service, maintain user accounts, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements.

Account Deletion

Users can delete their BarkBridge AI account through the Delete Account option available in the Profile section of the App.

BarkBridge AI does not currently provide an option to delete individual videos or individual AI analysis results from the user's history.

When a user deletes their account, their account-associated data, including uploaded videos and related AI analysis results, will be deleted, subject to any information that may need to be retained where required by law or for legitimate security purposes.

6. Data Security

We implement reasonable technical and organizational measures designed to protect the information we process from unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction.

However, no method of electronic transmission or storage is completely secure. Therefore, we cannot guarantee absolute security of information transmitted to or stored by the Service.

7. Your Rights

Depending on your location and applicable laws, you may have rights regarding your personal information, including the right to:

Request access to certain personal information
Request correction of inaccurate information
Request deletion of your account and associated information
Ask questions about how your information is processed

Users can delete their BarkBridge AI account through the Delete Account option available in the Profile section of the App.

Account deletion will also result in the deletion of account-associated uploaded videos and AI analysis results, subject to legally required retention.

8. Children's Privacy

BarkBridge AI is not intended to knowingly collect personal information from children where such collection is prohibited by applicable law.

If you believe that a child has provided personal information to us without appropriate consent, please contact us so that we can take appropriate action.

9. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes to the App, our practices, or applicable legal requirements.

When changes are made, we may update the "Last Updated" date at the top of this Privacy Policy.

We encourage users to periodically check this Privacy Policy for any updates.
